Job summary

The electronic technician is primarily responsible for installing and repairing equipment at the customer’s premises. The technician will also provide technical support, resolve technical issues and produce reports for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Install traffic and parking equipment, barriers, access system and other information, electronic components
  • Answer service calls on the road
  • Be available to carry out periodic duty rounds 24 hours a day
  • Meet with clients to resolve issues
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Replace the equipment or bring back the defective part for repair
  • Perform tests to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly
  • Provide training to clients
  • Assist customers in the use of their new equipment
  • Prepare the necessary equipment in the truck as needed
  • Calibrate machines
  • Perform maintenance tasks on electronic and mechanical equipment
  • All other related tasks

What we are looking for:

  • College diploma in electronics or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a related field
  • Bilingualism required (English and French) Spanish an asset
  • Mastery of wired or wireless network communications, radio and other
  • Mastery of TCP / IP and UDP configurations (Mask, Gateway and DNS)
  • Computer skills (Windows server, Hyper-V and redundant server) an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software
  • Knowledge of instrumentation (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Knowledge of reading and interpretation of mechanical, electrical and electronic plans
  • Valid driving license
