Job summary

The electronic technician is primarily responsible for making service calls and repairing equipment at the customer’s premises. The technician will also provide technical support, resolve technical issues and produce reports for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer service calls on the road, from the office or remotely
  • Configure, intervene and put into operation traffic and parking equipment
  • Make changes to electronic components
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Provide basic training to clients
  • Calibrate machines
  • Perform maintenance tasks on electronic and mechanical equipment
  • All other related tasks

What we are looking for:

  • College diploma in electronics or equivalent
  • 5 years experience in a related field
  • Bilingualism required (English and French) Spanish an asset
  • Mastery of wired or wireless network communications, radio and other
  • Mastery of TCP / IP and UDP configurations (Mask, Gateway and DNS)
  • Computer skills (Windows server, Hyper-V and redundant server) an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software
  • Knowledge of instrumentation (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Knowledge of reading and interpretation of mechanical, electrical and electronic plans
  • Valid driving license class 5
